Caviar obtained from the Sterlet (Acipenser Ruthenus), the smallest of the sturgeon family: one to one and a half metres in length, and weighing about 16 kg. Once plentiful in the Volga River and the Caspian Sea, it was nicknamed “the Tzar’s fish”: it has delicate flesh and produces caviar with a strong but elegant flavour, with hazelnut notes. Its grains are of a tender consistency, and normally silvery grey in colour.
You can choose from two varieties:
Natural - Unpasteurised Sterlet sturgeon caviar, treated using a little salt, to keep the original purity of the taste and magnificent bouquet intact.
Classic - Pasteurised Sterlet sturgeon caviar, treated with very little salt, thereby increasing its shelf life and preserving the delicate aroma and exclusive flavour.
Available in 10g, 20g, 250g, 500g, 1000g metal containers, and 28g, 50g, 100g glass jars.
